We share impact responsibly. A person’s story, name, image, voice, or quotation is not published until the appropriate written permission and content rights have been reviewed.
Meaningful choices
Participants may approve specific media, channels, and attribution, or choose anonymous publication or no publication.
Documented rights
Staff must retain the signed release and confirm that contributed photographs, videos, and writing are original or properly licensed.
Public policy
How Just Hungry Project handles stories and media
- We obtain written permission before intentionally publishing an identifiable participant’s story, name, image, voice, quotation, photograph, video, or audio recording.
- A parent or legal guardian must sign before identifiable media involving a minor is intentionally published.
- We collect only the permission and identifying information reasonably needed to document the approved use.
- Staff remove or avoid full addresses, precise locations, account numbers, immigration information, detailed medical information, and other unnecessary confidential details.
- Permission applies only to the media types, publication channels, attribution, and dates selected on the signed release.
- A participant may request that future use stop by emailing info@justhungryproject.com. We will stop new publication and remove controlled digital content when reasonably practical. Previously printed, distributed, shared, cached, or archived material may not be fully recoverable.
- Just Hungry Project may decline to publish material even when permission has been granted.

I grant Just Hungry Project a nonexclusive, royalty-free permission to reproduce, display, edit for length or clarity without materially changing meaning, and distribute only the selected material through the selected channels. I may request that future use stop, but previously printed, distributed, shared, cached, or archived materials may not be fully recoverable.
